Alexis White was part of CSUSB’s record setting day as she has been named the CCAA Womens’ Track Athlete of the Week.

White, along with her teammates on the relay team, posted three provisional qualifying times and set three school records at the Chris Rinne Twilight at UC Riverside on Saturday.

The sophomore from Adelanto posted a career best 55.45 seconds in the 400-meter dash, breaking the previous Yotes record by more than three seconds (58.62). She now ranks second in the CCAA in the event.

White ran the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay team (with Journie Alexander, Hailey Hunt, and Sariyah Copeland) that ran 45.82, which is a provisional qualifying time and a new CSUSB record. The Yotes won the event and set a new meet record. She also ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay team (Copeland, White, and Pennix-Webb) that ran a provisional qualifying time of 3:48.31, which is also a new CSUSB record. The Yotes now have the second fastest 4x100 time and the third best 4x400 time in the CCAA.

Next on CSUSB’s schedule is the CCAA Track & Field Championships, May 4-6, in San Marcos.
