For the second time in three weeks, Cal Poly Pomona’s Ryan Fields has been voted the CCAA Track Athlete of the Week. (April 10-16)

Fields broke the school record in the 110-meter hurdles when he won the event at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 13.75. That was a career-best mark for Fields, who set his previous personal record (13.92) at the Mt. SAC Relays last year. He is now ranked sixth on the 2023 NCAA Performance List.

The junior from Los Angeles also anchored the men's 4x400 team that earned an NCAA Provisional Qualifying Standard time of 3:10.94. The Broncos’ relay team of Jake Tilford, Camden Patterson, and Kaelin Moore is now ranked eighth nationally.

This is the third CCAA Track Athlete of the Week honor for Fields in 2023. He earned the award five times in 2022, twice in 2020, and once in 2019.

Cal Poly Pomona is on a competition hiatus until the end of April. The Broncos will return to the track on April 28-29 at the Steve Scott Invitational in their final meet before they defend their team title at the 2023 CCAA Championships.
