8-steal weekend leads Humboldt's Micaela Harris to CCAA Player of the Week honors

Cal Poly Humboldt’s Micaela Harris has been voted the CCAA Softball Player of the Week for the week of Ari. 10-16.

Harris hit .500 (8-for-16) with four RBI and eight steals as the Jacks took three of four games against Cal State East Bay. The catcher/outfielder had at least one hit and steal in every game.

In Friday’s first contest, the Rocklin native reached base with two singles. She posted three steals and a run scored. In the series finale, Harries went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two steals, and she crossed the plate twice. 

Harris is now second in NCAA Division II with 49 stolen bases. She has also moved up to fourth in CCAA history with 131 career steals. 

This is the second career CCAA Player of the Week award for Harris and the first this season. She won the honor last year during the same week of play. 

Cal Poly Humboldt will travel to Chico State for a four-game set starting on Monday, Apr. 17, before heading to Cal State San Bernardino for another four-game series starting on Friday.
