Triple jump mark nets Cal State San Marcos’ Isaac Muanza CCAA weekly honors Mar 21, 2023 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State San Marcos’ Isaac Muanza has been named the CCAA Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 13-19. Muanza posted the top triple jump in the CCAA this season at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational. The sophomore from Lawndale posted a distance of 46-1.25 (14.05m) on his third attempt. It was his longest non-wind-aided leap in over a year, and he now leads the CCAA by 9.5 inches. This is the second career CCAA Field Athlete of the Week award for Muanza. He won the honor last year on Feb. 28 and is the last Cougars’ student-athlete to collect the award. Cal State San Marcos will host the Mangrum Invitational this Friday, Mar. 24. The event will serve as a preview meet for the 2023 CCAA Championships.
