Chico State’s Chloe Taylor was a three-time winner on Saturday, earning her this week’s CCAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.

At the rainy Wildcat Invitational in Chico, Taylor won the 400-meter hurdles and ran the anchor leg in the winning 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay races. The reigning CCAA champion set a new school record and earned an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.39, which currently ranks as the top time in Division II. 

As part of the both relay teams, the senior from El Dorado Hills, helped the Wildcats to two victories. With Danielle Bacon, Jessica James and Savannah Bailey, Taylor’s 4x100-meter time clocked 48.08. The 4x400 meter relay team of Taylor, Bailey, Taylor Lee and Bacon timed 3:57.13.

Chico State will next take part in the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, March 31-April 1, in San Francisco.
