CSUSB's Tereise Tosi slugs her way to CCAA Player of the Week honors Mar 13, 2023 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State San Bernardino’s Tereise Tosi has been voted the CCAA Softball Player of the Week for the week of Mar. 6-12. Tosi led the Yotes on a 3-1 road trip against Stanislaus State, where she hit .500 with three doubles, a home run, and seven runs batted in. She reached base in half her plate appearances and posted a .875 slugging percentage. The sophomore infielder had an RBI in each game and registered three multi-hit performances. In Friday’s doubleheader, she drove in the game-winning run in both games. The first was a solo home run in the first inning of the 4-0 opening-game win. The latter was on a single as part of a two-run rally in the third inning. On Saturday, Tosi went 5-for-8 with three doubles and five RBI. Her first double in the series finale also accounted for the game-winning run. She added two more RBI on a double in the fifth. In CSUSB’s only loss of the series, Tosi had a two-run single in the seventh to tie the game before Stanislaus State won in the bottom of the inning. She is tied for first with four home runs and is fourth in on-base percentage (.494). Cal State San Bernardino is 8-8 in the conference (12-13 overall) and is tied for fifth in the standings. The Yotes will travel to Cal State East Bay for a four-game series starting on Friday, Mar. 17.
