Ryan Fields continues to be one of the fastest hurdlers in the CCAA as the Cal Poly Pomona sophomore picks up his fifth Men’s Track Athlete of the Week award.

Fields competed against Division I competition at UC Irvine’s Steve Scott Invitational on Saturday and came out on stop in his feature event.

The Los Angeles native clocked 13.99 seconds to win the 110-meter hurdles. The time is just slightly slower than his provisional qualifying time set at the Mt. SAC Relays (13.92 seconds).

Fields leads the CCAA in the 110-meter hurdles heading into the CCAA Track & Field Championships, which begins on Thursday at San Francisco State. He’s also the fastest CCAA athlete in the 400-meter hurdles. As a part of the Broncos’ 4x400-meter relay team, Fields and his teammates are also atop of the conference performance list.
