Zoia-Buescher hit .615 (8-for-13) in the series as Sonoma State swept its third straight opponent and ran its winning streak to 12 consecutive games. The leadoff hitter had a double, a triple, scored five runs, and four stolen bases. The Santa Rosa native reached base safely at least twice in every game of the series, and she had three multi-hit games. In the late game on Friday, Zoia-Buescher went 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored, and four stolen bases. She added five putouts in the outfield. The junior is now sixth in the CCAA with a .400 batting average. She is tied for fifth in hits (56) and fourth in triples (4). Sonoma State (34-14, 22-10 CCAA) has won 12 consecutive games and 20 of their last 21 to move within three games of first place, and two games of second place, with four games remaining in the regular season. The Seawolves will face second-place Chico State in Chico on April 29-30, with the No. 2 seed in the CCAA Tournament on the line.
