No-hitter nets Seawolves' Jesse Dupuis Pitcher of the Week honors Apr 25, 2022 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Sonoma State’s Jesse Dupuis closed out her home career in style as she fired a no-hitter on Senior Day en route to earning the CCAA Pitcher of the Week honors for April 18-24. The right-hander from Spokane earned two wins on the weekend as the Seawolves swept Cal State East Bay and moved into third place in the conference standings. She finished the series with one hit allowed over 13 innings pitched as she went the distance in both games. She struck out five. She opened the weekend by tossing a one-hitter against the Pioneers on Friday. She allowed a one-out single in the third inning before retiring 11 of the next 12 batters to help the Seawolves earn an 8-0 shutout win. Dupuis (12-2) was even better on Saturday as she hurled the school’s first 7-inning no-hitter since 2015. Only one batter made it past second base, and she retired 12 of the last 14 Pioneers. She has allowed zero runs and just seven hits in her last 29.2 innings. She ranks seventh in the CCAA in earned run average (1.89) and eighth in wins (12). Sonoma State (34-14, 22-10 CCAA) has won 12 consecutive games and 20 of their last 21 to move to within three games of first place, and two games of second place, with four games remaining in the regular season. The Seawolves will face second-place Chico State in Chico on April 29-30, with the No. 2 seed in the CCAA Tournament on the line.
