Yotes' Tereise Tosi named CCAA Player of the Week

Tereise Tosi played a crucial role in Cal State San Bernardino’s four-game sweep of Cal Poly Humboldt, and for her efforts, she was named the CCAA Player of the Week for the week of April 11-17.

Tosi hit .500 (7-for-14) on the weekend with two home runs, six RBI, and four runs scored. The freshman infielder reached base safely in all four games, and she finished the series with a 1.492.

On Friday, the Garden Grove native recorded three hits, including a home run, in both contests. She drove in a career-best four RBI in the late game as she hit a two-run homer in the third and then knocked in two more with a single in the sixth.

Tosi ranks seventh in the CCAA with a .395 batting average and is tied for second with eight home runs. She is also sixth in slugging percentage (.653). 

Cal State San Bernardino is on a competition hiatus this week. They will close out their regular season at home against San Francisco State on April 29-30.
