Cal State San Marcos' Trevor Boaz earns CCAA Track Athlete of the Week Mar 29, 2022 Share: Complete list of past winners >>> For his work in the mile, Cal State San Marcos’ Trevor Boaz was named the CCAA Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 21-27. The freshman distance runner registered a time of 4:04.97 in the mile at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival, hosted by UCLA. That mark earned Boaz an NCAA Provisional Qualifying Standard and set the Cal State San Marcos school record by 1.90 seconds. When converted to a 1500-meter time of 3:46.82, his mark is an NCAA Division II provisional standard, and it leads the CCAA by four seconds. Boaz is also second on the CCAA Performance List in both the 800m (1:52.03) and the 5k (14:30.63). Cal State San Marcos will continue its season on Friday, April 8, at the Triton Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego.
