Rodriguez went 3-0 with two complete-game shutouts and 18 scoreless innings. The senior from Union City allowed just 11 hits and struck out nine in her three appearances. She began the week by throwing four innings against Cal Poly Humboldt to earn the win. Then in the series opener against Cal State San Bernardino, she led the Seawolves to a 3-0 victory. She went all seven innings while striking out six and allowing four hits. Sonoma State sent Rodriguez back to the mound for the series finale, and she pitched her best game of the week. She gave up three hits and two walks while striking out three. The Yotes did not get a runner past second base until the seventh inning. Rodriguez’s 18 shutout innings lowered her season earned run average to 1.64 (fifth CCAA). She is also among the league leaders in wins (seventh, 10), strikeouts (10th, 48), opponent batting average (ninth, .240), and innings pitched (eighth, 85.1). This was the second CCAA Pitcher of the Week honor for Rodriguez this month. She also earned the honor for the week of March 7-13.
