With a pair of wins, Cal Poly Pomona’s Ana Tovi has earned the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week, for the week of Feb. 21-17.

Tovi won two events at the Rossi Relays at Claremont, Calif., with best marks in the shot put and discus throws. The sophomore from Upland also placed fifth in the hammer throw.

She threw 14.04 meters (46 feet, ¾-inch) in the shot put and 50.48 meters (165 feet, 7 inches) in the discus, setting two NCAA Championship provisional qualifying marks. Her shot put mark moved her to fifth all-time at Cal Poly Pomona.

Tovi’s mark in the hammer throw was 43.08 meters (141 feet, 4 inches).

The Broncos will compete at the Beach Opener at Long Beach State on Saturday, March 5.
