San Francisco State’s Kai Deleon hit .615 over five games at the Desert Stinger Invitational to claim CCAA Player of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 7-13.

After entering the first game as a pinch-runner, Deleon hit safely in the next four contests, including going a perfect 3-for-3 against Regis. She finished the weekend going 8-for-13 with five RBI, three runs scored, and four stolen bases.

On Saturday in games against Saint Martin’s and Montana State Billings, Deleon went a combined 4-for-8 with four RBI and two runs scored to lead the Gators to a pair of victories.

The big weekend helped Deleon climb the CCAA leaderboard in a couple categories. She is tied for fourth in runs batted in (8) and eighth in stolen bases (4).

With the victories last weekend, SF State evened its season record at 5-5. The Gators will open CCAA play this weekend at Sonoma State (Feb. 18-19).
