ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Eight CCAA men’s golfers representing three institutions have been named 2025-26 NCAA Division II Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
Cal State East Bay led the conference with four selections, while Cal State Dominguez Hills and Stanislaus State each placed two golfers on the prestigious academic list.
 
Jack Blinderman, Oscar Blomqvist, Nathaniel Frink and Cooper Groshart represented Cal State East Bay. The Pioneers were among 22 NCAA Division II programs with at least four honorees.
 
Trent Fitzgerald and Aaron Sanchez earned the award for Cal State Dominguez Hills, while Chase Bird and Riley Kirk represented Stanislaus State.
 
Sanchez and Groshart were repeat selections after also collecting Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors in 2024-25.
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III or the NAIA, or be receiving their associate’s degree and in their final year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
 
Student-athletes must also participate in at least 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 78.0 in NCAA Division II and have a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. Each recipient must also be of high moral character and in good standing at their college or university.
 
A total of 209 NCAA Division II golfers from 77 schools earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors. Tiffin and Missouri-St. Louis led the division with six selections apiece.
