Cal Poly Humboldt’s Lily Fournier has been tabbed the FloCollege/CCAA Softball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Fournier posted two more victories in two outings and did not yield an earned run as the Lumberjacks won both of her starts at Stanislaus State. She led Cal Poly Humboldt to their first CCAA Tournament appearance since 2017 and enters as the No. 3 seed.
In 13 innings of work, the freshman lefty from Las Vegas, Nev., gave up just one run on 16 hits with a solid strikeouts-to-walks ratio of 6-1. She fanned 12 batters and walked just two with one hit-batter. In her start on Friday, her complete game shutout was key in the 1-0 narrow victory. On Saturday, Fournier again threw a complete game, this time needing just six innings to dispose the Warriors.
Fournier has now won six straight starts and has allowed just one earned run in the last 32.1 innings, lowering her season ERA to 2.29, which is now fourth best in the CCAA. She leads the conference with 135 strikeouts, second in innings (174.1) and ties Jordan Hill of CSUSM with 15 wins. Click here to see the CCAA stats leaderboard.
