Kian Sanchez becomes Stanislaus State’s first FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Player of the Week since 2019

Stanislaus State’s Kian Sanchez earned the final FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Player of the Week honor for the 2026 season. 

Sanchez went 6-for-13 (.462) as Stanislaus State earned a series split with No. 12 Cal State Monterey Bay. The junior from San Diego had a double, three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs scored. He posted a .611 on-base percentage and a 1.231 slugging percentage, while reaching base in every game. 

The infielder opened the series with a two-run home run in Game 1, accounting for both of the Warriors’ runs, and added an RBI in Game 2. Sanchez then powered the turnaround in Game 3 with a 2-for-4 performance that included two home runs and four RBI. He closed the series by going 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI.

After earning the series split, Stanislaus State’s season is now complete with the Warriors finishing 22-26 (13-18 CCAA).
