Cal State San Marcos’ Luke Higgins goes the distance in the season finale to earn FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week

Cal State San Marcos’ Luke Higgins has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. (May 4)

Higgins ended the 2026 regular season by throwing a complete game in CSUSM's series-clinching win over Cal Poly Pomona. The right-hander from Laguna Beach accomplished the feat on just 98 pitches while striking out four and allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk.

Higgins cruised through the first three innings before running into trouble in the fourth. He escaped, allowing just two runs. Higgins would not allow more than one base runner in any of the final five innings. It was CSUSM's first-ever series win over CPP.
