Twenty CCAA student-athletes earned a place in the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The CCAA will have three entries in the jumps, four in the sprints, seven in the distance races, and one each in the throws, hurdles, and relays competing at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan., on May 21-23.
Chico State led the way with eight total entries, followed by Cal Poly Pomona with four, and Cal State LA with two. Cal Poly Humboldt and Cal State East Bay had one apiece.
Four of Chico State's eight entries came from sisters
Della and
Iresh Molina. They enter the championships with Della ranked sixth in the 5000m (16:16.87) and Iresh right behind at 16:16.90. In the 10k, Iresh is ranked second in NCAA Div. II with a time of 33:38.07, and Della is fourth with a time of 34:06.18.
Megan Malloy will join the Molinas in the 10k as the 11th seed (34:34.54), and
Paulina Martins will be the 13th seed in the 5k (16:29.19).
Sienna Bianchi grabbed the 21st spot in the 1500m with a time of 4:26.83. The Wildcats will also be represented in the field events with
Janey Rubio earning the 14th seed in the pole vault (4.02m).
Cal Poly Pomona earned spots in the sprints, hurdles, and the 4x400m relay. That 4x400m relay team of Y
asmeen Delgado, Jordan Garcia, Hannah Bassett, and
Jessica James is the 10th-ranked team with a time of 3:39.29. They will compete in the prelims on Friday. James will also represent CPP in the 400m (53.88), where she is the 16th seed.
Neshara Smith is the 11th seed in the 100m hurdles (13.58), and
Arissa Hatcher is 12th in the 800m (2:07.07).
Joining Hatcher in the 800m will be
Isabel Perez-Zoghbi from Cal Poly Humboldt and
Jenna Rodriguez from Cal State East Bay. These two went 1-2 in the 800m at the CCAA Championships. Perez-Zoghbi enters the NCAA Championships as the No. 2 seed (2:04.92) with Rodriguez as the 20th seed (2:08.12).
Cal State LA has entries in the discus and the triple jump, both of which won CCAA titles.
Summer Stevenson will represent the Golden Eagles in the triple jump with the second-long mark in the country (12.90m).
Kailea Satterwhite has the 12th-longest discus throw with a mark of 49.82m.
Jordyn Brooks will represent Cal State San Marcos in the triple jump, earning the 21st seed with a season-best mark of 12.20m.
The NCAA Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships will be held May 21-23 at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan.
