Cal Poly Pomona finishes at #5 in the final WBCA poll

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Cal Poly Pomona finished the season ranked No. 5 in the final Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll of 2025-26.
 
The Broncos went 29-5 on the season and set a school record with 20 conference wins (20-2). CPP won the CCAA regular season title for the first time since 2015 and earned the No. 1 seed in the CCAA Tournament. Cal Poly Pomona would also win the NCAA West Regional as a No. 3 seed and advance to the program's first Elite Eight since 2014.
 
Defensive was the calling card all season for Cal Poly Pomona. It ranked ninth in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage defense (.339) and 18th in scoring defense (55.4 points per game). CPP was also eighth in rebounds per game (43.6) and 14th in rebounding margin (9.2).
 
Grand Valley State finished as the No. 1 team after winning its second consecutive championship. Click here to see the final WBCA poll
