STOCKTON, Calif. - Cal State San Bernardino leads the field by six strokes, and four student-athletes are tied atop the leaderboard with 4-under 68s after round 1 of the 2026 CCAA Men’s Golf Championships, presented by Visit Stockton.
The Coyotes placed all four of its scoring golfers in the top 12, including Kamron Hopson, who is tied for the tournament lead, to take the early advantage in the CCAA Championships.
Mario Stump registered a 2-under 70 to place fifth, and
Aaron Parayno tied for sixth with a 71 (-1).
Marco Lin and
Tyler Price tied for 12th, with 73s (+1).
Cal State San Marcos posted a team score of even-par to stay only six strokes off the pace set by CSUSB. Gavin McCormick is tied for first place with a 68 (-4).
Kai Miyata’s 71 (-1) placed him in a tie for sixth, and
Liam Weaver is tied for ninth with a 72 (E).
Chico State and Cal State Dominguez Hills are one stroke behind CSUSM, and are tied for third with 289s (+1). Chico's Naoki Easterday and CSUDH's
Se Ming Song are tied atop the leaderboard with McCormick and Hopson.
Cal State East Bay (295, +7), Cal State Monterey Bay (296, +8), and Stanislaus State (305, +17) rounded out the first round scores.
The second round of the 2026 CCAA Men's Golf Championships presented by Visit Stockton will tee off at 8 a.m. on hole 1.
