Chico State’s Jack Tews has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. (Mar. 2)

Tews turned in a dominant performance in Chico State’s 3-1 non-conference win over Stanislaus State, tossing 7.0 shutout innings while allowing just three hits and one walk with three strikeouts. The freshman right-hander held the Warriors to just three singles and stranded all scoring threats while protecting an early lead. Tews worked efficiently, throwing 72 pitches (47 strikes), and retired the side in order in four of his seven innings. His win secured the series victory for Chico.
