Cal Poly Pomona’s Dylan Esquival has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. (Feb. 9)

Esquival held No. 7-ranked Colorado Mesa to zero runs and two hits in 5.0 innings of work in the series opener on Friday night. The senior left-hander struck out seven while not issuing a walk to pick up his first win of the season and help CPP improve to 4-0 to start the season. 

Across his first two starts, Esquival has thrown 9.0 scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts to zero walks and only five hits allowed. Click here to see CCAA baseball stats leaders.

Cal Poly Pomona will play a three-game series against Hope International this week, starting on Friday (Feb. 13), with the teams alternating home games. CPP will host games 1 and 3 at Scolinos Field, and both games will be available on FloCollege.
