Chico State’s Thomas Meyer has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 17)

Meyer turned in the most dominant outing of the series, throwing six no-hit innings to lead Chico State to a 5-4 victory over Western Oregon. The junior right-hander was perfect through five innings and faced just one over the minimum through six, finishing with 6.0 innings pitched, no hits allowed, no runs, one walk, and three strikeouts on 78 pitches. Meyer controlled the strike zone and generated weak contact throughout, setting the tone for a staff that helped secure a 3-1 series win.

The performance lowered Meyer’s season earned run average to 4.05. He stands 11th in the CCAA in WHIP (1.20). Click here to see CCAA baseball stats leaders
