ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Eight CCAA teams completed their 2025 fall campaigns ranked in the top 25 in their respective sport.
The
Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team led the way, finishing No. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches final poll. The Broncos were the defending national champions and stayed ranked in the top 10 all season. They would fall in the semifinals of the NCAA Championships to the eventual national champions and complete their season with an 18-3-3 record.
The
Stanislaus State men's soccer team finished at No. 5 to earn its best final ranking in program history. The Warriors climbed to No. 1 during the season and reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament. They finished the season at 17-2-1.
The final top-10 ranking went to the
Chico State women's cross country team, which placed eighth at the NCAA Championships in Kenosha, Wis. The Wildcats won the CCAA and NCAA West Regional Championships before placing one spot higher than their expected finish at nationals.
The
Stanislaus State women's cross country team also defied expectations at nationals, finishing 10 spots better than their prediction, to rank 12th in the final USTFCCCA poll. The Warriors were ranked throughout the season and earned an at-large bid to compete at nationals.
The
Chico State men's cross country team extended its streak of finishing in the top 25 to 26 consecutive seasons, with a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The Wildcats won the CCAA Championship and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II National Championship by winning the NCAA West Regional.
The
Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country team put together one of the best postseason performances of any CCAA fall team to earn its No. 16 national ranking. After placing third at the CCAA Championships, the Broncos exceeded expectations by placing second in the NCAA West Regional, earning an automatic bid to nationals. CPP entered the regional with an expected eighth-place finish.
The
Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team also collected an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, where it finished 18th. The Broncos placed second at the CCAA Championships and third in the NCAA Regional.
The
Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team won the CCAA regular-season championship. It earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Super Regional to finish at No. 20 in the final United Soccer Coaches poll of 2025. The Toros posted a 12-3-4 record in 2025, which included a 12-match unbeaten streak.
