The CCAA placed 12 student-athletes on the NFCA All-West Region team for the 2025 season.
Cal State East Bay’s
Marissa Quintero and Sonoma State’s
Charlie Johnson comprised two of the three pitchers on the first team. Cal State San Marcos’
Jayline Sloss earned a place on the second team. The Pioneers’
Ashlee Toy also claimed first team honors at Utility/Pitcher.
CSUEB had two first-team selections to lead the conference. Sonoma State had three total selections with Johnson making the first team, and
Amari Houston (OF) and
Sophia Newcomb (OF) earning second-team selections.
Cal State San Marcos and San Francisco State also had multiple all-regional selections. SF State’s
Kai DeLeon was the all-region first team shortstop and
Marley Gonzales earned second team as a catcher. For CSUSM,
Paige Donnelly (1B)joined Sloss on the second team.
The other first team all-region selections were
Jay Ross (OF) from Cal State Dominguez Hills and
Alyssa Smokey (DP) from Cal Poly Humboldt. Cal State San Bernardino’s
Tereise Tosi joined them as a second team all-region selection at third base.
The 2025 NFCA Division II All-America teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 21 at the NCAA Division II Championship Banquet in Chattanooga, Tenn.
