The CCAA will send 12 individual qualifiers and two relay teams to compete in the 2025 NCAA Men's Track & Field Championships, May 22-24, in Pueblo, Colo.
Five different CCAA schools will be represented among the 116 total at the national championships. Cal Poly Pomona leads the way with five individual entries and one relay team. Chico State had four individuals and one relay team earn a place in the championship. Stanislaus State, Cal Poly Humboldt, and Cal State San Marcos will each send one individual entry.
Cal Poly Pomona's
Alessio Sommacal will compete in the NCAA Championships for the fourth consecutive season. He will be running in the 400m hurdles for the third straight season and is part of the Broncos' 4x400m relay team. He will enter the 400m hurdles as the top seed, with the top mark in Div. II (50.61).

Camden Patterson is ranked 14th with a time of 3:08.79, which they set at the Franson Last Chance Meet.
Nnamdi Onwaeze will represent CPP in the 110m hurdles. He is the 16th seed with a time of 13.94.
The Broncos will also have three student-athletes competing in field events.
Kailen Smith is tied for ninth on the NCAA Performance List in the high jump with a mark of 6-11.5 (2.12m).
Gavin Hanes is tied for 17th in the pole vault (16-7.5/5.07m), and
Collin Joyce is 18th in the triple jump (50-3.5/15.33m).
Chico State will send the No. 9-seeded men's 4x400m relay team to the national championships.
Trey Suffredini,
Brody Staley,
Quincy Patton, and
Vincent Rinaldi posted a time of 3:08.13 in the Franson Last Chance Meet to earn a place in the NCAA Championship. Staley will also compete in the 400m after qualifying with a time of 46.73.
Brayden McLaughlin earned a place in the 10k field for the second consecutive year. The senior received a bid to the race after posting a time of 29:24.33 in the Stanford Invite. This will be McLaughlin's third appearance at the NCAA Championships, as he also earned a place in the 10k as a freshman.
Damian Garcia, the CCAA champion in the 800m and the 1500m, will be making his first NCAA Championships appearance. He will be the No. 3 seed in the 1500m with a time of 3:39.47.
Hunter Dougherty will also be making his first NCAA Championship appearance. The senior qualified with a time of 8:51.24 in the 3k steeplechase. He will be the No. 14 seed entering the race.
Stanislaus State's
Trent Lauderdale will also be making a return trip to the NCAA Championships. He is the No. 9 seed in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.06.
Cal State San Marcos'
Kalathan Laiwa-McKay earned his first trip to nationals as a senior. He will be the No. 7 seed in the shot put with a mark of 59-10.5 (18.25m).
Cal Poly Humboldt's
Michael Payan earned a bid to nationals in the pole vault as a freshman. He cleared 16-11.5 (5.17m) at the Brutus Hamilton meet to capture his NCAA Provisional Standard.
The 2025 NCAA DII Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships are from Thursday, May 22, to Saturday, May 24. The meet is hosted by Colorado State University - Pueblo.
