Cal State East Bay’s Max Gonzales named the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week Apr 7, 2025 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Max Gonzales from Cal State East Bay has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 31-April 6, 2025. Gonzales pitched a complete game, seven-inning shutout in a 6-0 win for the Pioneers vs. first-place Cal State LA. The senior right-hander allowed only five hits and struck out five. He did not walk a batter, and no runner reached third base. It was his second shutout of the season. The Milpitas, Calif., native lowered his CCAA-leading earned run average to 2.01. He is also second in innings pitched (53.2), fifth in strikeouts (46), third in wins (5) and first in opponent batting average (.205). Click here to see the CCAA baseball stats leaders. Gonzales is the second Pioneer to win a FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week award in 2025. He joins Caleb Schaeffer, who collected the honor on March 17.
