Cal State East Bay holds a two-stroke lead after the first round of the 2025 CCAA Women’s Golf Championships presented by Under Armour.
 
The Pioneers made a charge on the back-nine to pass Cal State San Marcos and grab the lead after the first 18 holes on the Sandpiper Golf Course.
 
The top seven spots on the player leaderboard, and eight of the top 10, went to golfers from Cal State East Bay and Cal State San Marcos. The Pioneers’ Torrie Bowman and the Cougars’ Kiara Hernandez are tied for the lead with 2-over 74s. Makenna Cabardo is one stroke back with a 75 (+3). Five more golfers, one from CSUSM and three from CSUEB, are tied for fourth with 76s.
 
Cal State LA holds a two-shot lead over both Sonoma State and Cal State Monterey Bay for third place with a 324 (+36). Chico State rounds out the field (340, +52).
 
The second round of the 2025 CCAA Women’s Golf Championships presented by Under Armour will tee off at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22.
