Cal State San Marcos’ Avery Foster has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week. 

Foster earned a fifth-place finish at the Patriot Invitational, hosted by DBU in Carmel, Calif. The senior from Clovis posted a 221 (+8) over the three rounds at Quail Lodge Golf Course. She posted scores of even-par in the first and third rounds, and an 79 (+8) in the second. Foster tied for second among the 66 golfers in par-5 scoring at (-3). 

Her performance helped Cal State San Marcos finish third in the tournament with a 897 (+45). The Cougars finished ahead of the No. 3 and No. 5 teams in the country with that result. Click here to see the complete results from the tournament.

Cal State San Marcos will be back in action on April 3-4 at the RJCA Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Ariz. This will be the team’s final tournament before the CCAA Championships (Apr. 20-22).
