Four home runs help SF State’s Daniel Murillo garner FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Player of the Week honors

Daniel Murillo of San Francisco State has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 24-Mar. 2.

Murillo hit four home runs in the series with Cal State San Bernardino and is currently tied with seven home runs in the CCAA. The senior shortstop concluded the four-game set with a .389 batting average (7-for-18), a .500 on-base percentage, and a 1.056 slugging percentage. He drove in eight runs and scored six times. The Long Beach native added four walks.

Murillo opened the series by going 2-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored. In the finale, he also recorded a multi-home run game to help SF State split the series. 

With his four walks this weekend, Murillo is now third in the CCAA with 16 walks. He is fourth in on-base percentage (.532) and fifth in runs (18). Click here to see CCAA baseball stats leaders
