Evan Tomlinson of Chico State has been selected as the first winner of the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week award for the 2025 season.

The transfer from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo had quite a debut for the Wildcats against the reigning West Region champions and No. 5 nationally ranked Point Loma.

Tomlinson threw six shutout innings in a scheduled seven-inning game as the Wildcats came out victorious 3-0 to reward the Walnut Creek native with his first win. He struck out three batters, allowing just five runners (three hits and two walks). No runner advanced past second base during his outing. The Wildcats took two of three games to take the series from the Sea Lions in San Diego.
