Stanislaus State wins the 2025 CCAA Tournament Championship, presented by FloCollege!

SEASIDE, Calif. - Stanislaus State scored three second-half goals to defeat Cal State San Marcos, 3-0, and claim its first CCAA Tournament Championship since 2012. (Nov. 16)
 
Michael Daley
scored the match's first goal, which proved to be the game-winner, in the 58th minute when Sammy Villanueva found him open in front of the goal from 11 yards out.
 
Villanueva, who would be selected as the tournament's Most Outstanding Offensive Player, added a goal of his own seven minutes later when he scored off an assist from Alexis Cervantes. Cervantes would join Villanueva on the all-tournament team after posting an assist and a goal in the tournament.
 
Sebastian Carbajal tacked on an insurance goal in the 81st minute off an assist from Daley to complete the Warriors' journey from being picked eighth in the preseason coaches poll to 2025 CCAA Tournament Champions.
 
Ian Reis was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player after helping Stanislaus State keep its opponents scoreless for all 180 minutes in the tournament. Angel Ruiz-Hernandez earned his third consecutive shutout and 10th of the season to collect all-tournament honors in the process. Emmanuel Duran, who had the game-winning goal on Friday, also joined them on the all-tournament team.
 
Cal State San Marcos' Tony Flores made five saves in the second half as the Warriors outshot the Cougars 16-8 in the last 45 minutes. Ruiz-Hernandez had four stops for Stan State.
 
Flores earned all-tournament honors along with his teammates Cisco Avila, Efren Nunez Dominguez, and Brando Oros for Cal State San Marcos.
 
Stanislaus State secures the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Super Regional with the win. It will learn where it will play in the postseason on the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, Nov. 17, at 4 p.m., on NCAA.com.
