Kym Crosby proudly represented the USA and Chico State at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris

24957Chico State alum Kym Crosby represented the USA on the national stage in two events at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.
 
The track & field star just missed the podium in the 100m T13 and the 400m T13, placing fourth in both events. She finished with a time of 12.40 in the 100m and a 59.04 in the 400m.
 
This was Crosby’s third career Paralympic Games as she also completed at Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020. She is a three-time bronze medalist. The Yuba City native placed third the 100m and 400m in 2020, and third in the 100m in 2016.

By the numbers
Ninety NCAA schools had at least one Paralympic athlete in Paris, with 69 NCAA schools spanning 42 conferences across all three divisions.

Six U.S. teams have at least 50% collegiate participation: paratriathlon (58%), powerlifting (50%), rowing (100%), swimming (61%), track and field (71%) and wheelchair basketball (92%).
 
Over 50% of the Paralympics members of the 2024 roster having competed in college sports.
This includes athletes from club sports, non-NCAA championship sports, junior colleges and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics schools.
