Broncos’ Noel Soto named CCAA Pitcher of the Week

Cal Poly Pomona’s Noel Soto has been voted this week’s CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. (Apr. 15-21)

Soto threw a seven-inning complete game to lead Cal Poly Pomona to a 6-1 win in the second game on Saturday. It was his third seven-inning complete game in his last four appearances. The senior allowed just four hits and one earned run on 91 pitches while forcing nine ground outs and nine fly balls with two strikeouts.

The Lakewood, Calif. senior is now 6-2 over his 10 starts. He leads the CCAA with three complete games. Opponents are hitting .261 off him. Click here to see CCAA baseball stats leaders.
