SF State’s David Eichhorn picked as CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week after eight shutout innings against CPP

San Francisco State’s David Eichhorn has been selected as CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week, for the week of March 25-31.

Eichhorn, a junior right-hander from Aptos, scattered six hits over eight scoreless innings to earn the win against Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday. He struck out eight hitters and walked just two in the winning effort. 

On the season, Eichhorn leads the CCAA in both innings pitched (56.0) and batters struck out (46). He is also fourth in opposing batting average (.233) and sixth in earned run average (3.70). Click here to see CCAA baseball stats leaders.

The Gators have this weekend off before playing host to Stanislaus State for four games beginning on April 12.
