Of the 447 honor roll selections, 260 were repeat winners. Sixty-five claimed the honor for the third time, and 20 were four-time honorees. Alyssa Burt (Cal State Monterey Bay softball), Claire Fisher (Cal State East Bay women's track & field), and Alyssa Olague (Cal State Dominguez Hills softball) all had the unique opportunity to collect a CCAA Honor Roll award for the fifth time in their careers because of the extra year gained in the pandemic. All three earned their first CCAA Academic honor in the spring of 2019.

By sport, baseball topped the list with 148 honorees, followed by women's track & field with 100. Softball was third with 83, and men's track was fourth with 62. Women's golf (32) and men's golf (19) rounded out the list.

The 447 selections were a 43.6 percent increase from spring 2022. It was also just short of the record number of 453 set during the 2021 season, when some requirements were waived due to the pandemic.

Eleven of the 12 schools saw an increase in honor roll recipients of at least 14 percent. Chico State led the way with a 128 percent increase from last year. Cal State Monterey Bay nearly matched it with a 110 percent increase. Four more schools saw increases of over 40 percent; Stanislaus State (61%), Cal State Dominguez Hills (55%), San Francisco State (42%), and Cal State East Bay (41%).

The CCAA recognizes individuals academically per season – fall, winter, and spring – for all CCAA-sponsored sports. The CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. The Winter Academic Honor Roll will honor men's and women's basketball players, with the Spring Academic Honor Roll consisting of student-athletes from men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, softball, and baseball.
