The bats were working for the Yotes today as they put up a six-run third inning and added three more in the sixth. Deshawn Johnson and Giovanni Del Negro fueled the offense as each put up three hits, two runs, and two RBI. He would also knock in the 10th run for the Yotes on a sac fly in the top of the seventh to make it 10-2.

The Hounds got one back in the seventh on a bases-loaded walk and rallied for five more in the ninth. The first four batters of the inning reached before a double play plated one more to make it 10-5.

After a walk, the Hounds hit a three-run homer to cut the deficit to two (10-8). Even with no one on, UIndy got the rally going again as the next two batters were walked and hit by a pitch to bring the go-ahead run to the plate. All-American, closer Oscar Rauda, was able to induce a grounder from the man that led off the inning to record the final out of the game to earn his CCAA-leading 14th save.

Starter Dylan O'Connor went the first five innings allowing five hits and two runs. He did not walk a batter, and he struck out three. He left with a 9-2 lead as he handed the ball to Benny Olguin in the bottom of the sixth. He went the next three innings allowing two hits and one run. In the ninth, the Yotes used four pitchers to get the final three outs to stay alive in the elimination bracket of the NCAA Championships.
