[NCBWA All-Region Team] [D2CCA All-Region Team]

Cal Poly Pomona's Caleb Reyes headlined 19 CCAA baseball student-athletes to receive all-region recognition for their performance during the 2023 season.
 
Reyes was a unanimous pick for Regional Pitcher of the Year after being voted to the top honor on the D2CCA and NCBWA All-West Region teams. The senior right-hander led the CCAA conference with a 2.09 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. Nationally, he ranked eighth in WHIP, tied for 14th in walks allowed per nine innings, 15th in strikeout-to-walk ratio, and 16th in ERA.
 
Six CCAA student-athletes, including Reyes, were named to the D2CCA and NCBWA first teams. He was joined by Cal State La's Matthew Piotrowski (third base), Cal State Monterey's  Drew Williams (second base) and Nico Hartojo (utility), and Cal State San Bernardino's Giovanni Del Negro (outfield) and Oscar Rauda (relief pitcher).
 
Six more student-athletes earned one first-team selection and a second-team nod. Deshawn Johnson and Garrett Macias gave the Yotes two more all-region selections. The Otters' Brady Miguel and Chase Lindemann each collected second team NCBWA all-region and D2CCA first-team honors. Cal State LA's Johnny Pacheco and Cal State Dominguez Hills' Eric Smelko were the opposite, earning first team on the NCBWA squad and second team for D2CCA.
 
Cal State San Bernardino paced the conference with six all-region selections. Cal State Monterey Bay had four. Cal State LA, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State East Bay, and Cal Poly Pomona each placed two on the team.
 
The NCBWA also honored Cal State Monterey Bay's Walt White as its 2023 West Region Coach of the Year.
