Cole Anderson of Cal State East Bay was selected as the CCAA Player of the Week, for the week of April 10-16.
Anderson went 14-for-21 (.667). He posted a 1.457 OPS with a .857 slugging and .600 on-base percentages. In five games, he drove in 10 runs, scored five times with four doubles and a walk.
The sophomore outfielder led the Pioneers offense to a 3-1 series win over Cal State Dominguez Hills.
CSUEB also defeated Sonoma State earlier in the week in a make-up game. Anderson had four multi-hit games during the week, including a 5-for-5 game in the series finale. He also had four hits against Sonoma State. In Saturday’s nightcap, Anderson went 3-for-3 and drove in five runs.
After making up a game at Sonoma State on Tuesday, the Pioneers will host Cal State LA this weekend.
