Cal State San Bernardino knocked the No. 1 seed Cal State Monterey Bay out of the 2022 CCAA Baseball Tournament with a 6-3 win.

The Yotes became the first team since February to score three runs off Cal State Monterey Bay's starter Joseph Standley when they put up two in the first and another in the third. From there, Standley settled down and gave the Otters three scoreless innings. He exited the game in the seventh, and that is when the Yotes rallied.

Gio Del Negro walked with one out, and Daryl Ruiz doubled to put two runners on. Riley Parker followed with a two-run double and then came around to score on an RBI groundout by Brandon Galindo to give CSUSB the 6-3 lead.

The bullpen took it the rest of the way with two scoreless innings. Oscar Rauda closed out his second game of the tournament with a perfect ninth inning. The Yotes bullpen went 4.2 innings in the game, allowing no runs, two hits, and two walks while striking out seven.

Parker reached base in all four of his plate appearance. He went 2-for-2 with two walks, three RBI and a run scored. He was one of six Yotes to record a multi-hit game as Cal State San Bernardino outhit Cal State Monterey Bay 13-6.

CSUSB will advance in the elimination bracket to play the loser of Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Dominguez Hills. The game is scheduled for Friday, May 13, at 7 p.m., and the winner will move into Saturday's championship game.
