2020-21 CCAA Winter Academic Honor Roll (.pdf) >>>
An impressive 96 men's and women's basketball competitors from across the conference were honored for their work in the classroom as members of the 2020-21 CCAA Winter Academic Honor Roll.
Previously named the Winter All-Academic Team, Honor Roll distinction is given to student-athletes who are a sophomore in academic standing with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3. The standard requirement of competing in a conference-sponsored sport has been waived for 2020-21, as honorees must be a member of their team in good standing. Awards are based on complete academic year grades, providing a more robust representation of classroom success throughout the year.
Although the requirement for distinction is a 3.3 cumulative gpa, more than 70 percent of the men and women honored hold at least a 3.5 in their respective studies. At an even more stringent minimum of 3.8, 26 individuals make the grade.
"Despite the challenging year away from the court for our student-athletes in 2020-21, they were able to effectively channel their energy into their academic pursuits," noted CCAA commissioner Mitch Cox. "I applaud not only the students, but also want to recognize the tremendous job done by the coaches and support staff at all our member institutions during the last academic year. I couldn't be more proud of these 96 men and women."
