Warriors' Annie Wild and Cougars' Rasha Badrani collect CSC Academic All-America® honors

Stanislaus State's Annie Wild and Cal State San Marcos' Rasha Badrani have been selected to the 2025 Academic All-America® women's track & field team as voted on by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
Annie Wild earned second-team Academic All-America honors as a sophomore Communications major. She was the national champion in the mile at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships and earned fifth place in the 1500m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Wild was also the CCAA Champion in the 1500m and earned USTFCCCA All-American honors.
 
Rasha Badrani was the 2025 NCAA Indoor Champion in the 400m and would earn the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II West Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year honors. The junior Business Administration major also qualified for the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, placing ninth to earn All-American honors. She adds third-team CSC Academic All-America® honors to her impressive list of accolades.
 
Wild and Badrani are the first CCAA women's track & field student-athletes to earn this prestigious honor since Ayana Fields (Cal Poly Pomona) in 2022. Badrani is the first women's track & field student-athlete from CSUSM to be named an Academic All-America, and Wild is Stanislaus State's first since 2016 (Channing Wilson). The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
 
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America is the longest-running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges, and Canadian institutions. Since its inception in 1952, more than 40,000 student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions have earned these elite Academic All-America scholar-athlete honors.
