Regional Rankings
Cal State LA's move to the No. 1 spot in the NCAA Super-Region 4 rankings highlighted several big moves for CCAA teams. The CCAA had a season-best four teams appear in the rankings as Cal Poly Pomona joined the Golden Eagles at No. 5, Cal State San Bernardino at No. 11, and Cal State Dominguez Hills at 12. (Nov. 10)
Cal State LA captured the CCAA regular season championship last Thursday with a win over Cal Poly Pomona. That victory moved the Golden Eagle's record to 12-2-2 on the season. It also extended their unbeaten streak to 11 consecutive matches. Cal State LA will be the host and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CCAA Men's Soccer Tournament starting on Friday, Nov. 12. Cal Poly Pomona moved down one place in the rankings but still remains in the top 5. The Broncos went 11-3-3 on the season and 8-1-2 in the CCAA. Their only loss since early September came on the road at Cal State LA, and it snapped a 13-match undefeated streak. The Broncos are the No. 2 seed in the CCAA Tournament.
Cal State San Bernardino went from unranked last week to No. 11 in Super-Region poll. The Yotes won their opening round match in the CCAA Tournament to extend its unbeaten streak to six matches. Cal State San Bernardino is the No. 3 seed in the CCAA Tournament. It will have a chance to improve its resume for the Super-Regional as it faces off against Cal Poly Pomona in the opening match on Friday, Nov. 12, at Cal State LA's University Stadium.
Cal State Dominguez Hills has been listed in all three regional rankings. The Toros dropped one spot to No. 12 from last week's poll. They reached double-digit wins with a victory over Sonoma State in the first round of the CCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. The Toros are now 10-5-1 on the season. Cal State Dominguez Hills will face No. 1 seed Cal State LA on Friday at 7 p.m.

NCAA Division II will continue with the super regional tournament format that was implemented for the 2019 season. In this format, 10 teams from each of the four Super Regionals are selected for postseason play. Super-Region 4 includes the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), and the Pacific West Conference (PacWest), along with the Lone Star Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) from the South Central Region. The 40-team field for NCAA Division II men's soccer will be announced on Monday, Nov. 15, at 3:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
