ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Stanislaus State's Stevie Holguin has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first week of the 2026 season. (Sept. 7)
 
Holguin placed sixth at the highly competitive University of San Francisco Invitational, while helping lead Stan State to a second-place finish over NCAA Division I opponents Cal, Stanford, UC Davis, and more. Holguin posted a time of 21:00.2 on the 6k course run at Hellman Hollow.
 
Holguin, a sophomore from Seal Beach, Calif., was the top non-Division I individual finisher in the race and the only Division II runner in the top 10. Her efforts also helped No. 12 nationally ranked Stan State be the only non-Div. I team to earn a spot in the top 9.
 
This is Holguin's first career CCAA Runner of the Week award and the first for Stan State since the opening week of the 2025 season. Click here for the history of CCAA Player of the Week awards.
