Alexia Alva of UC Merced has been voted as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Aug. 31-Sept. 6.

Alva led the Bobcats to a solid showing on the road to Washington as they brought home a 4-0 win at Saint Martin’s and a 1-1 draw against Central Washington.

The junior forward from Manteca, Calif., tallied six points with two goals and two assists and has now contributed to the Bobcats’ last four goals this season. Against Saint Martins on Thursday, Alva scored a goal in the 46th minute and assisted on two goals. She then sent in the equalizer in the 52nd minute in the match at Central Washington on Saturday.
