Fresno Pacific’s Devyn Castaneda has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

Castaneda helped No. 4 FPU stay undefeated in CCAA play with a pair of wins, including a victory over No. 9 Cal State San Bernardino. The junior from Visalia, Calif., finished the weekend averaging 7.0 digs per set with 56 digs total. 

In the win over CSUSB, Castaneda posted a season-high 42 digs over five sets, averaging 8.4 digs per set. She also had six assists and a kill. She closed out the week with 14 digs in a three-set win over Cal State Marcos.

Fresno Pacific (11-0, 3-0 CCAA) will put its perfect record on the line this weekend when it travels to Cal State San Marcos (4-7, 1-3 CCAA) on Friday and to Cal State Dominguez Hills (1-10, 1-3 CCAA) on Saturday. Both matches will be available on FloCollege.
