ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Mario Giannini of Chico State has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Sept. 14-20.

Giannini earned the individual title at Saint Mary’s Invitational 8k, recording a new personal best of 23:03.7.  His performance helped lead Chico State to the victory in their season-opening race over several Division I programs such as Saint Mary’s, UCLA, and Nevada State.

Giannini and the Wildcats’ cross country team will compete in the San Francisco State Invitational at Speedway Meadows on Friday, October 9th.
