Andrea Alvarenga Torres of UC Merced has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 14-20.

Alvarenga Torres accounted for all five goals in the Bobcats’ 2-0 opening weekend of conference play as UC Merced beat Cal State Dominguez Hills and Fresno Pacific. Alvarenga Torres assisted on all three goals in the 3-0 win over the Toros and found the back of the net and assisted on the game-winner in the 2-1 win over the Sunbirds.

UC Merced also played at Jessup earlier in the week, a 2-0 win over the Warriors.

The junior midfielder from Sanger, Calif., became the first CCAA player to post three assists in a match since Nov. 1, 2024 (Evelyn Sandoval, CSUMB).
