Ellaclair Leedom from Cal State San Marcos has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 9-15. 

Leedom won the individual title with a 7-under 137 and helped lead Cal State San Marcos to the team championship at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella. The sophomore opened the 36-hole tournament in Goodyear, Ariz., with a 70 (-2) and followed it up with a 67 (-5) to win the tournament by four strokes. 

She entered the final round tied with multiple golfers at -2, two strokes off the lead. Leedom would be one of only three golfers to shoot under par over the final 18 holes to claim the individual medal. 

This is the first career CCAA Golfer of the Week award for the reigning CCAA Freshman of the Year. Click here to see a complete list of past award winners. 

Cal State San Marcos will now travel to Texas to play in the DBU Classic, hosted by Dallas Baptist, on Sept. 28-29.
